Keeping U Afloat
Through my for-credit work at Flypaper Creative Services, I was the Project Manager for a start up non-profit company called Keeping U Afloat. Their mission is to help people who have been through tragic life events by offering a unique healing journey surrounded by friendship and centered in team building. They do this by taking a group of people out on the water and teaching them how to sail. Learn more about Keeping U Afloat here.
One of the projects they brought to us was a new logo for their company. We opened up the project to all of our designers on the team. In the end, a few designs were chosen to be featured on their merchandise in the near future; however, they decided to go with a logo that was designed by someone close to the owner. My design, featured here, was one of the final logos chosen.
This project was difficult because, like many clients, they wanted too much for their logo design. To meet their needs, I decided to create for them a fluid logo that, no matter where it was used, could fit their needs. The general outline and look of the logo is recognizable and stands out, while the image in the center can change depending on what they want. I also created a line of ribbon logos with different ribbon colors for any kind of cause their clients support. See
those here.
